CALLING ALL *AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS!
The Manteca & Tracy Camera Club is hosting its 4th Annual Photography Contest and Show. All are welcomed and encouraged to participate in this competition. A public viewing of the show will be held May 16 & 17, 2009, 12 - 4 PM at theManteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane (behind the Manteca Police Department).
ELIGIBILITY: Competition open to *amateur photographers only. (*One who cultivates any study of art without pursuing professionally.)
CATEGORIES:
Color; Black & White/Toned; Creative/Altered; Children (14yrs & under)
categories to be judged separately
ENTRY FEES & CONDITIONS: $5 per adult entry, $2 per children’s entry, non-refundable. Children’s entries: Age 14 and below (no direct adult contribution, please). All photos must be mounted on a suitable backing. Photo size - 5”x7” to 11”x14”. Maximum size with mat/backing - 16”x20”. No frames, please. Photo must include a title on 1 1/2” x 2 1/2” card, placed in lower right corner of entry. Name and contact information must be placed on the back of each entry. All participants must complete an entry form and submit with their photo entries. PLEASE do not put name on front of photo.

Adult Categories: Best of Show $40.00, 1st Place $25; 2nd Place $20; 3rd Place $15
Children’s: 1st Place $20; 2nd Place $15; 3rd Place $10;
People’s Choice $25
Other community groups may be giving awards in special categories, TBA.
All winners will receive a ribbon, certificate, and the appropriate cash prize. All prizes will be awarded during Pick-Up times.
CONTESTANTS - Photo PICK-UP:
All Photographs may not be removed until the show has ended on Sunday at 4pm. Photographs may be picked up between 4-5pm.
YOU BE THE JUDGE!: All who attend the Public Viewing on Saturday, May 17th will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite photograph in each of three Divisions: Adult combined (Color, B&W/Toned, Creative/Altered); Children’s; and Camera Clubs Display. Winners will receive the People’s Choice Awards.
